From there, a vast trail system stems from the ‘06’ trail which is just up the road and accommodates mountain bikers and hikers in the spring, summer, and fall months, as well as snow mobile adventurers in the winter. Do you enjoy road biking, Sierra Bluffs is ideally located for a flat start and finish to many great local rides. Looking for a short ride, then take the 35 mile out and back ride to Squaw. Want something a little longer? Head into town and follow historic Donner Pass Road approximately 28 miles (1,300 foot climb) to Donner Lake’s West End where the sights offered along the shores of Donner Lake, and the climb up Old Highway 40 to The Sugar Bowl Ski Resort will surely amaze you. Also up Old Highway 40 is world class rock claiming for the Cliffhanger in you.

Golf: There are a dozen first rate, championship 18-hole golf courses within 20 minutes of Sierra Bluffs. Some of the most scenic, challenging and best maintained courses that the Sierra Nevadas have to offer are easily accessible. Plus there are numerous courses, from muni to country club, just down the road in Reno.
